Niki Lauda is the only driver to win the WDC without a single pole position that season, doing so in 1984.

Hans Heyer holds the strange honor of being the only F1 driver to have a DNQ, DNF and DSQ for the same race. He failed to qualify, started the race anyway and retired before being disqualified.

that's one of the best stories in F1 history, when he tricked the marshalls to field the car on the grid even not qualifying

Did he really trick them? Wiki says the marshalls knew him personally and they looked the other way. Awesome either way though. Apparently he was driving a crappy Penske for ATS. Broke down eventually.
