I still remember his bit before the lights went out in Monaco in 2002.

That said, he is enthusiastic and was probably blamed too much for the Hamilton bias in 2007-8.

Has anyone tried to see what the subtitles is like with live coverage on Sky Sports?

I know the BBC have done well with their subtitling, only the odd spelling mistake which I am able to work out or understand the mistake afterwards. But I got no experience with Sky, so what is it like?
Checked them out on some live cricket coverage & they seemed pretty accurate.

Thank you for your response, I appreciate it!

I never experienced Sky Sports with live subtitling. So it is good to know they can do that.

I am still wondering if Virgin Media will get the Sky F1 channel or not? As I got a large cable TV package with Virgin Media (I got the package because of Eurosport!)

That music is fine for an outro/ending theme, but not intro. An intro is meant to pump you up, and get you excited. They may not be able to get the Chain, but that's a terrible choice.

Wow, thats their song choice? I want to get excited going into an F1 race, not feel like I am at the end of an episode of scrubs (so basically feeling low). Terrible choice, truly awful.

There's a wonderful irony in that, what with the singer being a good mate of Jake Humphreys.

Shit choice though for an intro.

It's almost if they thought "you know what, fuck it, we can't beat the Chain so lets not even try. Google some songs with race or drive or speed or fast in the title will ya, we'll just use one of them, cba putting more thought into it than that!"

Can think of a few better songs even than that if that's the case.
Most of the back catalogue of "Cake" for one.

From Jake (BBC team): Training sesh done! You know that #bbcf1 news I mentioned? It's released Thursday & concerns a GP winner joining the TV team, not ex-driver!

Confusing... GP winner not ex-driver?! Either someone who's "active" at mo, like Barrichello, or someone who was a GP winner but isn't driving last year (Herbert, Hill, etc)?

Any thoughts?

Unless he means it's a Grand Prix winner, not 'just' an ex-F1 driver?

I am pretty sure it is Johnny Herbert; Johnny has been really good in doing coverage for the GT1 World championship this year and also for Eurosport he has done some good stuff. Johnny is also quite outspoken, which will seriously help in improving the coverage.

Today I made a nice investment for the new F1 season. A DAB radio so I can hear the 5 Live commentaries in high quality. I will not give a penny to Sky.
