I was thinking just the same 8O

Lewis is wearing the Bob Marley helmet because the family asked him if he would wear a special helmet in India some time ago.

Glad to hear I'm nog the only one ;)

I think it's mostly becouse of the characteristic of most corners, not the overall layout.

Mercedes-GP.com

Schumacher: “This is a very interesting track with a challenging layout” said Michael after the two practice sessions. “It’s certainly enjoyable to drive. As we expected, off-line it is extremely dusty but the racing line became quite grippy over the day. This morning, I was happy with the balance of the car, however this afternoon was more challenging for us.

We weren’t really able to get into working properly for various reasons, including the red flag, and therefore tomorrow we need to work on the set-up for both qualifying and the race.”

Rosberg: After the first day of action at the new Buddh International Circuit, Nico was very enthusiastic about the layout: “The new track here in India is awesome. It has some very interesting corners, and that’s why it takes a bit longer to get used to the layout than at some of the other new circuits.

Turn two for example is very different; you come from downhill, then go up looking into the sky and so you see the hairpin very late, just before you arrive. In general we had two good sessions and learned quite a few things today so I have a good feeling for this weekend. Hopefully that feeling will continue tomorrow.”

Standard 'press talk'. Nico was 1.5 seconds slower compared to his time in FP1, Michael 2.3 seconds. They drove more laps in FP2 than in FP1. My guess is that they did more race simulating laps than other teams, or the cars didn't run as smooth on a track with slightly more grip?

When was the last time Felipe Massa topped any timed session?

Q1 Germany, although he also set the fastest lap a race later in Hungary.

Atlas has an 11 page (40 posts/page) thread about the Hamilton penalty. Lmao

They've kept the grass in some clever places here. Tilke does actually pay attention to feedback from fans it seems, because there is a fair chance of being punished if you run off road here.

Definately good to see some grass on a new track, at least they lose proper time if they run off track now. Unfortunately it looks a little too bumpy - if anyone gets sideways on it they could catch some air and it'll definately get tarmacced next year if that happens.

as always, i'm completely hopeless with time zones, and F1.con can't help me.

my guess for this weekend is that QLF starts at 5.30 AM my time, which is in 11 hours and 5 minutes, and the race starts at 7.30 on sunday which is in 1 day and 13 hours, 5 minutes.

am I correct?

F1 races should be banned on Sundays where the clock changes, especially early ones like this.

I struggle getting up as it is. :p

This track is actually good! I really like it. Not sure it's good for close racing - sunday will tell - but it's also fast as hell.
