So, apparently vettel left the drivers meeting on Friday early and without permission because he frustrated with something. He has gotten a suspended fine of $25.000 for that.

Unknown what he was frustrated about.

Still not keen on sprint races, but I really thought that Austria would put on a good one. Seemed a waste of time, however.

I thought the three DRS zones would add some interest. If you get overtaken but can keep within a second, then there's three opportunities to retake the position and prolong the battle. Worked well in F3, but not F1. Hopefully everyone was saving their cars for the main race and we'll get more action tomorrow.

Apparently it was a discussion about stewarding decisions and the consistency thereof. Russell said he'd prefer them to only use one permanent steward, so I get the impression Vettel wasn't the only one not happy about things.

I mean yeah, by Spa 2008 rules Perez should've been penalised because he was off the road in the final corner then passed Lewis at T1, using the runoff to overtake at the next corner was exactly the rule they used to fuck Lewis over in Spa that year (despite him going slower to let Kimi back by so gaining no advantage AND Kimi jumping on the brakes and scaring Lewis into having to give to the inside or hit him, because Kimi wasn't sure how much grip he'd have with the rain coming down, mitigating circumstances Mr Mosely and friends singularly failed to notice in their quest to fuck Lewis and Mclaren over) but nothing was done, so you can see why they're miffed

Typical FIA will fine you for speaking up about it rather than realise they caused the problem though

A 'source' has reported that he told them he had been having these discussions for 15 years and nothing ever changes. And he is right.

So the race stewards have made their beds by handing out track limit time penalties left right and center in the F2 race (which many of the drivers were very unhappy with) so let's see if they have the balls to do that in the main race. They after all let Schumacher get away with heaps in the race yesterday.

Different race direction in F2 though. But I would like the same level of attention in F1. The white line is the limit, stay inside it.

Reports coming in about fans making sexual and homophobic remarks.
Seems to be the Dutch crowd.

Also seen reports of Dutch people going there just “to drink and party.” And saying they don’t know any of the drivers names……

Again. I hate the Dutch that discovered F1 in 2016 or in 2021. :yuk:

nothing different from what we see in the Interlagos stands. When a couple with an attractive woman is spotted guys starts shouting "hey partner" or chanting "the hot girls go up and the fags get out"

According to radar there should be some rain clouds over the circuit, but it seems there are orange clouds instead.

Seems like it takes forever to form the grid this weekend.

Cameras will miss a crash for sure because it's so thick.
