Their reactions to the start of his lap is pretty much what everyone was thinking.

French commentators interviewed him about it yesterday. When his engine cut off at the end of Q1 I was so angry they may have jinxed it

Is there a channel showing the Porsche Sprint Challenge Middle East race in 10 min ? I watched it on a feed yesterday and it was awesome.

Looks like this track is fantastic for racing.

EDIT: MBC is showing it live at the moment. If you find a stream don't hesitate to post it. Race is starting now.

Gotta say Max's final qualy lap yesterday was what I love most about motorsport... absolutely on-the-edge driving from start to premature finish. Gilles Villeneuve would've been proud of that!

Verstappen's lap reminded me of this pole lap from Montoya in CART. The two final corners were just mental

I am quite confident that this race will be half-points.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

I kinda wish both titles where already decided so they could let both Williams’ car finish 1 and 2 like they sometimes do in cycling

I really hope this goes green all through. I'm always up for drama, but not tonight, I'm travelling for work and my timing was entirely based on this thing starting on time and lasting a smooth buttery 90mins

they'll have until half past midnight (local time) to clear 75% of the race. If this happens, it'll be the latest a F1 race will end

since there's no rain, I believe they'll go all the distance, unless someone drops the checkered 2 laps before like in other races

Half past 11. 3 hours. And they may end up needing to call it off on safety\track condition grounds anyway.

Changed to 3 hours at the start of last year.

Unless, of course, race control decides to suspend that rule (see: Spa).

Meh, that could had allowed F2 to postpone the start until after F1, but of course they cannot spoil the main event

Almost 11 pages and the race hasn't even started yet. I have a feeling this thread reaches 23 pages come the finish.
