Yeah, I don't think any of the top few drivers are likely to destroy them ala sutil if they run them last.
It's nice to see mixed strategy this weekend.
I assume vettel and the rest who ran the medium q3 have fresh sets of the soft. Can anyone confirm that?

Exactly! Each one of them have one fresh set of soft tyres.

Hopefully the visibility is still good on race day. I don't think I remember seeing it so good before in any previous year.

Each one doesn't have Force India destroying the strategy of them. Apart from McLaren.

I wonder how much damage to the tyres Vettel had with that block in the hairpin.

And this time round you'd think Webber wouldn't be able to lose any places at the start. But knowing his reputation for tardy getaways, I fully expect Webber to finish the first lap in Malaysia.

This is simply the Mark Webber Rule.

The MWRule states that he must be between 12th and 15th into the first corner.

Obviously, if he's on pole, this means that he always bogs the car down, spins the wheels, is eating a banana, or something, and everyone floods past him until he's in one of the above mentioned positions.

If he's starting from 22nd, however, it means his car gets to have 2,500hp for the first three seconds of the race, and he'll literally launch over the De Mushia cars and anyone else cluttering up the back of the grid, and land perfectly so that he can slip stream past a few of the "slow" midfielders before the first corner, ensuring he's in one of the above mentioned positions.

The latter part of this rule can be demonstrated by running a Sunday Cup race on Gran Turismo 1, whereby you choose a 750hp tuned Skyline GTS, and everyone else chooses a Mazda Demio, and somehow when you're doing 210mph down the straight, you cannot seem to shake that Mazda Demio from your mirror, because it's got that extra 2,500hp shot so it remains "competitive".

I've put a lot of thought into this. I'm sorry.

So if Multi 21 is for team orders, I guess Mark's startline throttlemap must be Multi-0 :p

Ohh Gran Turismo 1 I literally haven't played that in about 15 years.

I was talking about someithing similiar at work today, where I mentioned Tunnel B1 (The conversation was about things we had and didn't know how they worked). Then I was like bloody-hell, some of my Playstation games in my room I've had nearly 20 years.

Great job by the BBC going back to Spa last year to find Vettal asking for 'MultiMap 1, 2' over the radio proving that he does seem to know what that instruction means.

Of course he knew, he has been with the team for enough years to be familiar with the terms.
Had he claimed otherwise?

He said earlier in the weekend that he didn't understand the MultiMap instruction.

BTW the FIA telemetry system still isn't working :o

But we know Vettel knows what it means. The drivers aren't stupid.

I'm amazed at that claim. Really amazed.
Force india with more problems. I hope they get it out. It's got decent pace at the moment that car and to miss out on points while they are slightly ahead of their close opponents would be a shame.

I know I'm shitting on a childhood hero of many, but Damon Hill is an arsehole. He's against team orders and thinks they're immoral and he wants to race drivers...except when they're better than him. Seriously Damon, some of us remember F1 history.
