Latifi had was fifth on the fastest lap charts today between the Mercs and Red Bulls

Did he slow down way too much instead? We might be just assuming he was too fast and not thinking that perhaps the opposite might be true.

From the onboard shot, it sounded like he had to accelerate a fair bit to get back up to the pit lane speed limit once he got off the brakes, so I think that's what happened.

Great win by Verstappen & Red Bull. It's always nice to have an element of unpredictability in a race.
