New colours on Williams but sounds like it'll perform the same: https://www.motorsport.com/f1/news/will ... 3/4686816/

You can still ask Hockenheim to fill the gap. Should also be entertaining weather wise. or if weather seems too funny you could ask... a traditional and now safer than in the past European race track that has experience hosting the first European race of the season. Possibly south of the alps, where the weather should be great that time of the year.

Yes we read it here first. Imola is candidate to replace China.

I don't know, I'm curious to see F1 on the new track layout. Without the Variante Bassa chicane, so flat out from Rivazza to Tamburello.
(Imagine removing those chicanes too and cars going flat from Rivazza to Tosa. With the proper safety changes so we don't have another Berger or Senna situation, obviously.)

They did however destroy the Variante Alta chicane by making it too slow. I remember some good overtaking there in 2004 before they changed it.

The Villeneuve chicane also needs to be taken away to allow passing into Tosa

I'd take Imola over China anytime, the place is great and I don't need to wake up at 3Am to watch it

Yeah was a shame they changed it as it was a fun little corner as it was. You had to be both aggressive but also precise as using too much kerb cost you time just as using too little would. The Pre 2004 Bus Stop at Spa & the Pre 2000 1st chicanes at Monza were similar as was the last chicane at Montreal before they introduced the sausage kerbs.

Since the 2006 alteration it's now just a pretty uninteresting bog standard slow chicane that I don't think is even a better overtaking opportunity than it was before.

I'd like to see the current formula around Imola, tho.

I'm curious about that run from Rivazza to Taburello. The current cars could probably go almost flat out until Tosa.

I know im late but i just saw all 10 episodes of drive to survive s1 from netflix, i have to say a totally new F1 world after the before/race.
Incredible, i know its tough in F1 but this tough not. Decisions, money, politics... incredible what they have filmed. The Hass team is on fire and it was even more in 2019. They shot mercedes on German gp where they had their "best race" of season, i wanna see Toto go crazy there. I wish they filmed it in 2016 with Rosberg/Hamilton. Toto for sure got some grey hair back then.
And yes i saw trailer of season 2 and yes i want more.
Really looking forward to season 2, totally new F1 world between the races
