Obviously he wouldn't be in on it, sauber telling him to be super careful instead of egging him on for the win etc. I personally don't think there was anything but if there was, perez would not have been in on it.

This. When there's a chance to shine, drivers take advantage.

Singapore 2009, he fucked up. China 2010, he fucked up. Today we had the chance to see something special and it came from Perez. Alonso ragged the shit out of the Minardi, Button with the Renault & Hondas.

Rosberg reminds me of Fisichella & Heidfeld.

The braking zone into turn 14 is one of the hardest in F1, because of the turn in it.

Race engineers are often very careful in making sure they only talk to their drivers on a straight, when they aren't as likely to be distracted.

So, for argument's sake, if Sauber wanted Sergio to make a mistake, to make sure he didn't attack Alonso, all they had to do is talk to him over the radio whilst approaching turn 14.

It isn't just about Perez. It's about all the stupidity. They made the most stupid pit stop decision possible, and waited a lap when everybody already knew the slicks were 5 seconds a lap faster. They chose the harder tyre, when they knew there car was great at conserving tyres and the softs would last. Perez cruised up to the back of him, then just sat there, suddenly significantly slower, and even with the DRS, he never got even close. Then the mistake, then a single fast lap as if proving a point, then nothing.

Perez looked overjoyed at the fact he just threw away a win? I'd have been gutted. Absolutely destroyed. He had an almost certain win in the bag, and he threw it away, and he's happy?

Then there is Dominicali sitting saying he wasn't worried about Alonso losing the lead. Really? Because everyone else was? Why wasn't he bricking it?

If it's not a conspiracy (and I'm not 100% sure it is, obviously), then it's another wonderful coincidence when needed. Ferrari needed this win, and the Ferrari engined car about to take the win away, suddenly started doing stupid things.

Sauber's strategy is orchestrated by mongs anyway, both drivers got shafted on strategy today, just like Sergio did in Melbourne and as Kamui did a lot last year (Spa and Monza are two prominent examples).

I agree with this. Remember when Fisichella threw away the win against Kimi at Suzuka? He defended needlessly, lost a bunch of time, which made him a sitting duck for Kimi. That is Rosberg in a nut shell. When the chips are down, he won't get the job done.

Yeah. Rosberg is good in an average car, but average in a good car. It's his 7th season now and he has 5 podiums to show for it. Great drivers don't stand for averageness.

I didn't say they did do it, I said if they wanted to...

There's also very little in the way of an explanation as to why Sergio suddenly went from taking 2 seconds a lap out of Fred to just 4 tenths after the off.

So being happy with your best result by miles even though you could have gone one better in the first race you ever contended for is less believable than intentionally coming inches from retirement to fool the world. Hmmm.

It's not a conspiracy for a very simple reason. Do you guys think that Sauber expected to be in this position? I don't think so. So why would they have talked before the race about "coded" messages for these kind of situations? I don't think so.
