maybe they're playing a stunt to fool Honda, seeing how far things had come

I was reading that the only thing that keep VW out of F1 is Bernie Ecclestone. Once uncle Bernie dies or get away they'll announce their project

Also reading vd Garde or Magnussen but thats more wishfull thinking I guess from fanboys.
Also seen Esteban Gutierrez mentioned which would make sense given there using Ferrari power units & he's now a Ferrari test/reserve driver.

They said on Sky yesterday that the deal with Ferrari is 2014 engines with the 2015 electronics/Hybrid systems.

2014 engines until those are all used and then 2015 I have read.

Mercedes put on soft tyres for the first time in testing today, immediatly 0.7 sec faster than the next car.

Apparantly it looks so much better on track than other cars.

Read it on sky sports.

BTW Mclaren is already on +100 laps today. I guess the Honda MGU-K was giving some of the biggest problems.

Just saw that last years pole In Spain was 1.25.2
And Rosberg drove today 1.22.7
Thats great, cars getting faster :)
But i wonder how, cuz not much has changed since last year..
engines/ cars stayed the same..
So its in the tyres. They have to be super extra soft or something for that time

Or perhaps Q3 is done on race fuel and race tyres whereas today was a low fuel run on soft tyres?

Meh, then I reckon Rosberg was being run underweight so that Mercedes could secure a bluechip sponsor[/ProstGP]

Manor are now entered as Manor Marussia & not Manor F1.

David Croft just said on Sky that he asked someone from McLaren if Magnussen would be put in the Manor & was told there's no plans to do that.

He also said he asked Esteban Gutierrez if he was looking at the Manor seat & that Esteban said no.

Some more reaction to Jorda from other guys she raced against:

Rob Cregan, who was Jorda's GP3 teammate in 2012, said on Twitter: "Carmen Jorda couldn't develop a roll of film let alone a hybrid F1 car."

Another of Jorda's on-track rivals, 2014 GP3 race winner Richie Stanaway, reacted to the news on Twitter simply with the comment "LOL".

At least she's gorgeous. Can't say the same for the other drivers except for maybe Nico Rosberg. ;)

Possibly because the option tyre there was medium last year and this year they were running S-Softs?

I don't think Mercedes has been on s-softs yet.

Manor's return is getting ever closer - http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/117844

Part of me is expecting Max Chilton to be confirmed as the second driver. Hope that part of me is wrong.

Max is going to be busy runny Indy Lights for carlin in the hope he can become a fixture of that team and they will take him to indycar when they make the jump.

Still it'd be good if this seat could go to someone with actual talent since it'll likely be so far off the pace it'd be good for one of the teams 3rd drivers to get some f1 experience away from the limelight as it were.
Sort of how Danny ran for HRT for half a season before stepping over to torro rosso. I think that helped him more than people realised .

Torro Rosso got a new nose. Not sure if that is some measuring device or a new place for the camera's.
