Exactly. Just then the barriers were on a different angle.
Also reminds me of the crashes after the Monaco tunnel, after hitting a bump under braking. But here it shouldn t be any bumps, right?

Carlos is reportedly being airlifted to hospital, which I believe is number 4 for the weekend as a whole.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

Ouch. Seems almost certain he has taken Tecpro to the face, judging by the scrapes all the way up to the cockpit and the missing windscreen. I think it's safe to say the low mass of those barriers prevented this from being so much worse.

Nothing broken, not knocked out, shut down the car himself. Lucky guy.

Franz Tost has recently affirmed technical issue, so it wasn't a driver error.

EDIT: He also added that Sainz may race tomorrow.

Carlos is doing 'perfectly', but will undergo some more tests.

I have seen the Onboard and it seems a right rear suspension or brake failure. The steering wheel is straight and the car suddenly moves to the left into the barrier.

Toro Rosso told to Mika Salo that he braked too late and locked the rears. Driver error.

Wonder why they didn't show this during the FP3. Bad feed quality

I'm wondering based on the delay in showing it as well as the break-up & lower quality of that shot if FOM now have the ability the record the OnBoards onto some sort of internal storage on the cars.

If Sainz camera was live at the time I don't see why they wouldn't have shown it & given how broadcasters like Sky have access to all of the live feeds I don't see why they wouldn't have shown it sooner given how we have known for a while that he was OK.

Probably. Could it be that Alonso's onboard at Red Bull Ring start was also badly scrambled, thus it was never shown?
