I thought Felipe went outside the track limits after the penultimate corner.

I hope the lap stands as this is an awesome front row. Whether the lap stands or not, Pastor Maldonado no longer stands as the last Pole sitter for Williams.

Replay just showed he only had the lefts over the line.

Cool thanks, they've not shown a replay on NBCSN yet. But did say that Felipe's lap hadn't flashed on screen, which was a good indication that it wasn't under investigation.

An awesome front row.

So, when was the last Williams front row lock out?

Mercedes drivers, how to lose a pole with the fastest car

Also not a good weekend for the main French drivers. Romain was around 0,5s slower than Pastor in FP2/3 and now almost 0,7s in qlf, maybe he have a car problem?! JEV is also strangely way too slower than Kvyat, no matter how good the Russian might be(and he possibly is a phenomenal driver as his best time was 0,03s slower than best Red Bull).

Kimi and Vettel, as usual, their usual 0,4s gap. Wish there was more of a fight there...

Rosberg had to back off on his last lap because of the yellow flags from Hamilton's spin.

Yeah, that was my impression watching it live.

But, in the end, he can't complain much because he should have been way faster on his first run

The atmosphere must be really weird at Ferrari seeing Massa on pole in a much poorer team.

dammit is only pole position, if he could start 2nd or 3rd and then go to win it would be bether

I don't wanna raise expectations but is great to see Massa on pole

massive crowd for qualifying

I heard it sold out in 36 hours and that 180 or 160k tickets were sold for the entire weekend. Tbh, seems quite a stretch as I would guess some 25k were there today. But let's see tomorrow.

Also, just remembered, Mattzel is at the Nürburgring today. Please, can you stop watching F1 live, Mattzel? :whistling: :p

326km/h down the front straight, 329km/h into turn 3. Not bad.

That's impressive considering the front straight isn't really that long.

Pretty poor performance from Massa tbh, he must have cheated to beat Bottas to pole. Everyone else made unforced errors.

...am I doing this right?

I dunno really. But this Mickey Mouse track probably helped.

Rosberg said that the setup was bad in his first run. Then the second run was ruined because Lewis caused the yellow flag (on purpose, obviously).

Cheers. 8)

Genuinely my favourite result since the 2012 Japanese GP.
