that naked rear end quite remembers 80's F1 cars that went to the track without engine cover so they couldn't overheat

I know that's photoshopped but it's amazingly packaged.

Williams have been running the same style of rear end since 2011.

Oh yeah! I remember the F1 reviews, 1988, 1989, many teams running the car without the engine cover at Jacarepagua practices.

Yes! I really miss that! Also, back there, the differences from car to car were way bigger than it's today. The changes during the season were incredible, I think I've said that before but, I recall in 1989, Herbert not qualifying for Canada with a Benetton, both Lotus out of Spa. Onyx getting a podium at Estoril. In 1990 I remember Capelli and Gugelmin out of the grid at Hermanos Rodrigues and then leading the next GP at Paul Ricard. Back there you had to manage the car much more, the failures were much more likely to happen, you had to understand much more your car to give a food feedback in order to improve the setup. That was the real thing! Like Piquet said in a brazilian tv show "Today you just have to be fast during 70 laps and don't make mistakes".

Well if you were Lewis Hamilton in 2012, his reliability record was something like from 1989.

I attended the test today and noticed Vettel wearing 2 different helmets during his afternoon runs. One was much darker and had some more aero bits on it.

It is not reliability issues when you keep on driving into other cars.

4/6 Retirements last year from Hamilton were incidents.

Yeah but 2 of those were a guaranteed 50 points and 3/4 incidents were totally not his fault.
