How does Mallaya not have an Interpol notice yet.

He's actually stuck in the UK at the moment - he was bailed by the High Court last year but is fighting an extradition order to India, where he is charged with defrauding 13 Indian banks to the tune of around 1,100,000,000 €. That's 1.1 billion. No surprise Perez et al decided to stop waiting.

As a business owner who has had one of our customers go into Administration while still owing us $50K, In a similar situation where potential buyers were turned away, I can say this. Fuck Vijay Mallya. If he has known that the business was going under, yet still racking up debts and delaying paying them and turning down credible buyers because the price wasn't right for him to make out like a bandit, then he deserves everything that gets thrown at him.

There are two types of creditors. Secured creditors and unsecured creditors. Secured creditors are registered with the relevant financial bodies and customer company, ensuring that if a company goes into Administration they get paid first above all else (think banks, in this case Mercedes etc) above all employees etc.

Unsecured creditors (think all of the lower companies such as merchandizing, catering etc) are ones that have not registered, and are purely suppliers (this was us). They are the last in line after the secured creditors and employees and should get put in order of who should get more of the scraps, and if there is no money left after the secured creditors get paid, get jack shit. We got jack shit.

I do not feel any sympathy for Mallay, and throwing in that he is a dodgy as fuck defrauder that will be extradited back to his own country to face similar situation???? Double fuck him.

If he had any lawyer worth his own salt then his holding company would have been listed as a secured creditor, and this is probably why BWT is listed as a creditor because they probably did the same.

After our fiasco we actually now only take on customers that have bank guarentees that if the same happens again, the bank pays us in full. Makes a world of difference.

British law is different, a secured creditor is either someone who holds security over an asset (so say a bank who loans money and the company secure that loan against their premises) or the Crown (HMRC). Everybody else is an unsecured creditor including Mercedes and BWT. It is the same as personal debt, your mortgage company is secured (because your mortgage is secured on the property), but your credit card debt is unsecured. Administration priority goes Crown > Secured > Unsecured.

Seems official; the hospital that performed the procedure issued a statement about it. Knowing Niki's warped humour about his health, he probably tried to get a new ear into the bargain.

Maybe he should do an Assange and walk into some random embassy and claim political asylum

I have the impression Perez didn't seem to mind that much the fact the team owes him some million pounds. The fact the team was under threat of being forcedly closed because of the lawsuit of a supplier, and him losing his seat before the end of the season was much more a factor.

I looked up a couple of other stories about this and found out something I never knew before. Even though Lauda is 69, he has 8 yr old twins. I don't really have a certain opinion on it, it's just you don't hear that happening very often lol

I'd have thought his parents would be far too old to conceive a new child..... Niki would have been 61 when they were born and even if his mother had Niki at 16 that would still put her at 77 for this twin, unless it was his father that got together with a much younger women, then it's not really a twin but a half-brother/sister

Niki has 8-year-old twin children, not siblings ;)

His wife is 30 years younger than him, which certainly would help on the fertility side.

That makes more sense, when I read he has a twin I was assuming as in a twin sibling

He must really enjoy that feeling of the overpriced firework in the engine bay going bang on a regular basis.

I understand and dont understand it at the same time.

RBR seems to be building around Verstappen so he will be 2nd fiddle if he stays so I can understand it.
Yet I dont see Renault making the step forward to actually fight for the title so I dont understand it.

Renault just needs a driver that can lead, build the team around them so they can make those steps forward. That could be Ricciardo.

He'll be making a lot of steps forward.

Towards the garage after the engine expires again.

It seems clear what has happened. He made a decision after Max's new contract to leave Red Bull. He tried to join Ferrari and was told no. This left him with only two teams capable of paying him the salary he was worth, and he picked the better prospect of the two.

But if there is no significant change in the engine regulations for 2021 then his chances of winning a championship have shrunk to just about zero. Renault are not capable of getting onto the level of Mercedes and Ferrari, with the changes in aero that have been proposed and implemented, the series is now right back to 2014 in terms of how important the engine is compared to aero.

But has Ferrari told him no?

Besides that I think the choice was become clear #2 with questionable engine or become clear #1 with questionable engine.

It has been stated in such in a few of the articles written today. I am not entirely convinced that the reason given (Seb vetoed him) is accurate but I do believe he was shopping around.
