It was unfortunately a racing incident, that's what you get at Monaco at the start sometimes

His interviews are getting more and more strange lately.

He didn't demand a penalty, he only said he wasn't given enough space.

Wow, they do need the cone there to see the corner. The two Pirelli boards almost blend into one.

Sky just showed Button OnBoard of why he retired.

He tried to go round the outside of Heikki at turn 1 & his right/rear hit Heikki's left/front (Also caused the damage to his front wing) & Button went down the escape road & stalled.

We'll get to that when we get footage of the actual racetrack. TV directing has just been terrible all week-end.

Brilliant photo there!

Decent race but frustrated that nothing happened at the end for the leaders.

So that was the first yellow then. Couple laps later, Perez tried the same and Kova hit him.

Wasn't shown much on the OnBoard channel either.

Was actually the 2nd.

Button tried to pass Heikki & spun at Swimming pool, Perez then got a run on Heikki & they touched at turn 1 & Perez went down the escape road. Next lap Button caught back upto Heikki & had another go passing him & they touched at turn 1 causing Buttons retirement & Heikki's front wing damage.

I'll post the video later on.

Button did mention how quick he caught up with Kova again, just look how Perez was able hang onto the leaders once he'd been able to get past Kova without being rammed.

The presenter asked him whether Grosjean left him enough room and Schumi answered that the TV pictures are clear and that he would expect the stewards to do something about it. All with a rather smug undertone.

For such a common start incident a rather exclusive opinion by Schumi. At least Nikki Lauda was on his side.
