So Mclaren 17th and 18th on the grid.

Good times to be an Alonso fan continues.

Is it too early to talk about an Alonso curse?

Belgian TV: "Alonso uninjured after huge testing crash" First thing they've said about F1 in the TV news this year is about a crash, and it wasn't a huge crash.

Denny Hulme had a heart attack while racing a BMW M3 during Bathurst 1000 in 1992. He crashed after that

In 2001 driver Dean Roper had a heart attack during an arca race and crashed. He was uninjured from the crash but passed away from the heart attack itself. (He was 62 years old though.)

Dale Earnhardt passed out at the start of a race at Darlington one year. I think he then continued for 8 laps or so until a substitute driver could get ready. Can't remember the details of his condition though.

Going to be a bit 2004 or 2009 this season for mclaren.

But even in those seasons they developed the car into a winner by the end so.....?

In VLN last year, or was it 2013, a german driver had a hart attack and was probably dead before he hit the wall

So, after implying that Fernando was 'okay' for most of the day, McLaren have revealed that he suffered a concussion.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

Starting to think Martin Whitmarsh was never fired and cosmetically altered to resemble Eric Boullier. After all they are both bland, boring, contradictory and sprout shit.

Concussion from the crash? It looks like he barely touched the wall.

"Fernando's accident was just one of those things that happens in testing," explained McLaren Racing Director Eric Boullier.

"Fortunately, he's fine, but was concussed during the accident, which therefore required an overnight stay in hospital as a precaution. That's normal practice after a concussion.

"Inevitably, some media reports have sought to exaggerate the severity of the incident – it was just a normal testing accident."

#Boullier

What is a normal testing accident, mr. Boullier?

So we still don't know the real cause?

A few more pictures of the aftermath can be found in MARCA website:

Some rumors speculate that he maybe got electrocutted before crashing... really weird accident anyway.

Yeah they definitely seem to be covering something up. First of all 'normal testing accident' doesn't actually mean anything and even if it did, concussion isn't normal.

I think Fabs is right

It is worrying. He stays in the hospital for more tests during the day. Crash was very weird,if you have seen the pics. The wheels are turned to the right in the moment of the contact to the barrier. That isn't normal. Seems like he already fainted before the impact. The impact itself was very very light,as seen from the damage on the car and also on the barrier, you see the impact trace from the right front wheel.
Very very worrying ,I must say.

Might be similar to Massa's accident, maybe he got hit on the head.

I don't think so, the helmet had no traces of a hit after the accident. I suspect it has something to do with being electrocuted (which would make sense since McLaren packed up the car afterwards) or something physical on Alonso himself, since it happened in the corner which puts the biggest stress on a human being.

What annoys me is the information policy of McLaren. All the statements from Eric Boullier sound terribly stuck-up. They don't give any explanation, but say that everything that was written by the press is wrong, etc. Why can't they simply say that they will comment on it later or that they have to investigate, instead of the bullshit answer that it was "a normal testing accident", when it so clearly wasn't.

How can electrocution be possible if he himself is not connected to the ground?

But he's not connected to the ground and electricity finds a way to the ground so there is very little change it would travel trough him
