The only good thing of this sprint race is that I had to work yesterday and I didn't see all the towing bullshit. But this isn't good either.

Field in spread out mode. Meh.

Perez says FO to Stroll. Naughty.

It seems these sprint races were made for Perez to provide a show.

So who will be awarded pole? Bottas because he won but will start last, or Verstappen because he´ll start first?

You're not going to risk starting last if you're already up front, only those at the back are going to really make a move that might not end well.

Which is fine, but you said

He didn't say tarmac, he said astroturf. That stuff with less grip and tends to get pulled up by the cars ;)

Yeah, that's a good point. This is probably just the rare case where tarmac would have been better

Bottas will get 3 points, but only tomorrow we will know who's on pole. Verstappen may get a penalty or fall ill, and then it will be someone else on pole.

So, apart of Hamilton having a bad start, and Gasly crashing out, has this sprint race done anything to justify its existence?
Maybe try the concept at a place where overtaking is possible.

The thing is Monza was supposed to be overtaking-friendly to begin with

Well, if McLarens hold up Hamilton tomorrow this will be very interesting (and what Verstappen would like to see).

There was Perez and Stroll, but I think that was literally it.

The irony is that Bottas now has his best chance to win a race this season (as this race won´t count for that), but they chose to take the penalty and start last, which will make him fighting for the last points.

Let’s hope Toto does his usual crying to the FIA and helps getting this whole farce canned. Lewis behind the 2 McLarens is a disaster for them

Typical luck for Bottas. Looks like Russia last year will remain his last.

I'm pretty sure they created this to recreate the 1971 race. Perhaps if they take off the wings and the chicanes it could happen
