Is there a broadcast or stream for the FIA Gala from New-Delhi tomorrow ? Looks like Eurosport isn't going to show it this year.

Looks like we wont see this years highlights clip. :( I think it wont be shown on any tv channel in the world.

How did you watch it live last year Toto?

Surely it'll be somewhere...

I saw it always on Eurosport so far. But looking at the tv program now the FIA Gala is nowhere to see.

I hope not. Petrov has proved to be little more than a pay driver, whereas someone like Perez has actually proved he's a damn good F1 driver.

Glock is a fine little driver, be a shame to see him drop off the radar.

If Virgin ditch Glock for Petrov, I can see them falling behind HRT next year.

Virgin/Marussia have gone/are going through some major changes at the moment.. The F1 operation has moved to Brackley and the technical and design staff has been increased. improved CAD/CAM systems installed and the 'poaching' of more experienced staff now that they are closer to the Silicone valley for Motorsport ..
I don't expect them to right at the back this time next year..

@Verstappen news - So, Benetton installed ''driving aids'' only on Schumachers car? From what I read it seems as though Verstappen is trying to say they didn't do that in his car because they were scared he would beat Schumacher? What a joker.

He goes on to point out that he beat Schumacher in go karts. Which says absolutely nothing. Jaime Alguesuari won the Felipe Massa kart event, beating a few F1 drivers.

I know Verstappen is not much of a Schumacher fan but he can accuse him of dirty driving. At least it would be more sensible

Schumi and Verstappen were close friends. I say were because after this I am not so sure anymore. There is an interview with them together at Spa 2002.

Really? GP2 champion by the biggest points margin, with a team that he dragged from near the bottom of the grid?

Out of the three that were part of Lotus, I'd have gone for Grosjean over the other two.

In 2009 he wasn't as bad as many remember. But he was too cocky and arrogant. He went away, 'suffered' having to do GT1 and AutoGP and then came back to GP2 and won. He impressed both DAMS & Renault with his attitude and pace.

Petrov had two seasons to prove himself and really didn't do that well. Senna probably isn't as good as Grosjean, but it will seemingly always be a case of wrong place, wrong time for him.

Well you're right but what I'm trying to say is that I rate Glock higher than Petrov in terms of team leading/development skills. Also HRT should improve on their own with the arrival of de la Rosa.

Glock and Petrov together would have been a great pairing!

Are HRT still tarting up old Dallaras or do they actually have the ability to design and build a car now?

With all the Russian money it would make a lot of sense to have Petrov at Marussia

:o Grosjean is one of the most talented young drivers avaliable. Certainly better than Senna and Petrov if those are the options. Wouldn't be surprised if he humbles Kimi Raikkonen throughout 2012 if not beat him.

He's certainly better than Petrov, but Senna has been treated harshly. There was a day when young drivers would get over a years worth of solid testing before a race drive. Senna got nothing in the HRT at all, dumped in and did respectable enough (nothing major, really), then got limited running in a Renault, sat around for 6 months, then dropped into a race. Asking drivers to perform at that level without any sort of real preparation is too much IMO. The turn around for drivers now days is ridiculous, with the bottom teams cycling through drivers at record pace, and drivers who don't preform being sacked after half a year, unless they bring serious amounts of cash. The standard of driving now days is significantly higher than it ever has been at any point in F1s history, and we have less cars for them to get seats in. Before, there used to be 30+ cars. Some of them had to pre-qualify, sure, but it was still a seat to prove your worth, and it was still somewhere to test.

The standards are so unattainably high, that driving talent often gets wasted. It is a shame, and it's why we need proper testing back.

Senna and Grosjean are equally talented. In the GP2 season 2008, where they competed in good teams (ART vs. Isport) against each other, they finished almost level on points. It just seems like Grosjean has learned a bit more from his 1st F1 disaster and has had a better career management in the past months.
