Looks like Codemasters did a pretty good job with the track. Raced it today for the first time, first sector is only straights like Korea. Second and third are flowing corners one after another, also a bit like Korea. Good to see there's some good amount of grass in real life like in the game.

Media speculation on Hamilton's private life. Ie, speculation on what we all thought
http://www.yallaf1.com/2011/10/18/hamil ... e-of-mood/

I think personal things shouldn't influence your work. Just try to flip a switch when you get there. concentrate on your job and you automatically don't think about it.
If your depressed at work, it influences the mood of everyone around you. I don't like it when someone acts like that at my work. Makes me feel uncomfortable too and thus influences my mood and work.

Too depressed to work/race and threat your colleagues properly? stay at home.

Agreed with everything you said man. And if the rumours suggested in that article are indeed the truth, then that is really piss poor by Lewis but honestly I can't say I'm surprised.

Wtf is wrong with you guys? He's a human, not a machine. Say, you've met a very special person, spent a reasonable amount of time with him/her and grown close to each other, then you split up. You turn up at your job, take pole position (e.g. doing a better job than any other human being on the planet at that time) and finish the race in P2 (which was the absolute maximum of the car, in front of your team mate in the same car), I think that could be seen, that your private life does not affect your performance in your job.

Im grateful that Lewis shows his human side, when he is upset about something, happy about a victory or if things don't go right. It shows a lot of strength, when you don't have to play charade and still get the best out of it. Because, personally, I'm not a big fan of a Schumi-like robot with no emotions and just a shitload of PR phrases.

I think it's amazingly arrogant for people to sit on a forum and essentially tell Lewis to man up about his personal issues.

Especially by just basing one's opinion on media-gossip.

Also amazingly hypocritical considering the same people were criticising Lewis for covering up his true feelings earlier this year after getting in trouble with the stewards.

The India track looks quite nice, those fast corners in the mid section of the lap will be quite a challenge. They look to be not quite flat.

Its looking like a sellout as well.

Just read that last month Bahrain sentenced 10 or 12 doctors and nurses to 15 years in jail for helping treat injured protesters.

Personal life = nobody elses's business. /discussion.

He's cleary got something on his mind, but it's for Martin/McLaren team bosses and his agent or someone close for him to discuss with. It's clearly not helping matters with all this bs media speculation floating about.

I'd be gutted too, if I split up with Nicole, wouldnt any of you? Then to top it off, lose to someone in a race. Knowing finishing 1st is pretty much out of control when your not in a Red Bull would surley be pretty moral destroying when you turn up to a grand prix of all things!!! knowing your fighting for 2nd.

Although this is from a purely outsiders view, Lewis is in an unfortunate situation where his Manager/Agent simply isn't a proper agent. He's a marketing representative. He's good at marketing people and negotiating media deals. He isn't a motorsport manager. It may not matter too much whilst he's in a safe seat at McLaren, but in the future this might be a sticking point.

Just reading MN. Interesting observation is that "word on the street is that Kubica won't be fit for 2012 and that Lotus/Renault/Genii/Whoever is introducing Romain Grosjean to the media at lunch functions"

Good for them, they won't have to pay his salary.

You don't have to be Sigmund Freud to notice the changes in Lewis' entourage and how it has probably affected him. The last time the media was flinging shit at him from 15 different directions (I would consider this to be just after Australia 2009) he had his family around him to protect him. He doesn't have anyone any more, there's no-one to act as his shit deflector. Whereas if Jenson ballses something up in the future he's got about 5 different people to stand by him.

Apparently Anthony did talk to him after Korea, so, maybe there's progress.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

Lewis has also probably got to a point in his life where he's reflecting on what's happened. In 2007/8 he lit up the F1 scene, but now just a few wins since then. 3 years without a title - that isn't what anyone thought would happen; this German kid two and a half years younger than him comes onto the scene and takes 20 wins, 27 poles and two titles. And he pushed his father away in order to make progress himself. I hope he'll be back properly next year, because a year of Vettel vs Hamilton could be electrifying, let alone thinking about Alonso and Button joining in the fun as well.

I'd personally be delighted, but you know my taste in girls.

I don't really know what to make of Lewis' attitude. As others have said, fair play to him for showing his emotions, however knobbish they may be at times. I just want to see the pace and balls of the old Lewis. Someone who may actually be able to challenge Vettel every race.

Indian GP trivia\broadcast news; for most people watching the race, it will start at half-past the hour (9:30am in the UK) as the circuit is in one of those weird 'interim' timezones.
