why the hell is Spa always on the 'danger' list? We had it in the recent past because of tobacco, now for years there are rumours it has to alternate... not long ago with I think it was the Nürburgring...

how can this race make a loss when it is the greatest circuit? When the circuit is close to France, Belgium (doh), Netherlands and Germany with its billion F1 drivers. I really don't understand how this race makes a huge loss every year, apart from the fact it has to pay a lot of money to Bernie to simply host the whole thing.

And Spain got 2 races on crappy tracks instead?

We hardly attract 50 000 fans, while Spanish tracks get 120 000. Our ticket prices are simply too high.

And they're high because Bernie demands too much to host a GP thanks to all those shifty countries throwing money at him for a GP.

Rhyme is hard :p I wanted to use other options sometimes, but finding a suitable word to rhyme with 'rubber' or 'Barcelona' within 6 or 7 syllables is quite difficult

true, you have to pay €150 to sit on a muddy hill next to the track on Sunday only, that's just pathetic
I truly love F1, but I won't ever pay that amount of money

What I most hate about the spectators in Spa is that the English are druk, so are the Germans, the Belgians are allways bitching on eachother, and so and so... Last years pitwalk was like the 2010 Love Parade. Busy as hell and only 1 exit!

Can't they name the GP at Spa the French GP every other year? They had a Luxembourg GP at the Nurburgring once. Paul Ricard is shit. In fact most French tracks suck, only Le Mans is great.

So ever wondered what cars are the drivers driving in their sparetime?
Find out now

Quote:
It is the F1 summer break and news is somewhat thin on the ground at present as all concerned have scampered away for a well-deserved holiday, so to fill the void, we have a slightly different feature for your enjoyment and education. How do you fancy finding out what the grand prix gladiators drive every day on the roads?

Well if you're still reading now, we guess you fancy finding out rather a lot, so without further ado and thanks to information supplied by our friends over at IBN Live, we shall fill you in. Prepare to discover who owns a Maserati Quattroporte, who motors around in a Jeep Grand Cherokee and which classic car enthusiast's garage contains both a Volkswagen Beetle Convertible and a Ford Mustang. Oh yes, and one of them has a van...

Here we go:

Sebastian Vettel: Infiniti FX50S, Fiat 500, Volkswagen T5 van, Mercedes SL 65 AMG Black Series (prize for winning 2009 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix)

Mark Webber: Nissan Navara, Porsche 911 Turbo, Porsche GT2 RS, BMW X5, Infiniti M37

Lewis Hamilton: Mercedes GL450

Jenson Button: Mercedes C63 AMG DR 520 (limited-edition, 520bhp), Smart Car

Fernando Alonso: Ferrari 458, Maserati Gran Cabrio

Felipe Massa: Ferrari 599, Maserati Quattroporte

Michael Schumacher: Mercedes S65 AMG, Mercedes GL, Mercedes C63 AMG, Ferrari California

Nico Rosberg: Mercedes C63 AMG

Nick Heidfeld: Lotus Exige, Mini Cooper S, Toyota Sienna, Porsche 959S, Fiat 500, Volkswagen Beetle Convertible, Ford Mustang

Vitaly Petrov: Lotus Evora, Renault Megane

Rubens Barrichello: Audi RS6, Ferrari 575

Pastor Maldonado: Jeep Grand Cherokee

Adrian Sutil: Techart Porsche GT2, Techart Porsche Cayenne, Audi RS4 (“I would never buy a saloon car – it has to be sporty,” he says)

Paul di Resta: No car

Kamui Kobayashi: BMW X5, Lexus IS-F

Sergio Pérez: BMW X3, BMW Z4

Sébastien Buemi: Volkswagen Golf R

Jaime Alguersuari: Seat Leon Cupra R

Heikki Kovalainen: Infiniti FX 50S, Nissan GT-R

Jarno Trulli: Fiat 500

Vitantonio Liuzzi: Mercedes C63 AMG

Timo Glock: Volkswagen Touareg 3.0 TDI, Audi A4 3.0 TDI

kinda wondering if they actually drive a Fiat 500 or the Abarth version of it.
