Ie, might do, might not, a long time away

So instead of joining when the new enginerule is introduced and kinda levels the playing field, they decide to wait 3 years and give the rest and advantage.

Unless they buyout the Pure project eventually....

The revised calender looks good to me: Melbourne back as the season opener, Bahrain later in the year and Austin as a back to back race with Brazil being the season finale again.

So will the American and Canadian GP still be back-to-back?

Nico Rosberg frightens David Coulthard around the Nordschleife

Image

Quote:
There's a good reason why Formula One teams make two cars with one seat each instead of one car with two seats. Well, there are a lot of good reasons, actually, one of which is being that F1 drivers don't like riding shotgun, something that is immediately apparent after watching this video.

Even when Infiniti took Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber to the Nürburgring Nordschleife in preparation for the German Grand Prix last weekend on the neighboring circuit, they gave each driver his own car, even though they each packed five seats. Now it's time for Mercedes-Benz to take its turn, bringing its own talents to the storied Green Hell for a little fun and publicity footage.

After Michael Schumacher took his junior teammate Nico Rosberg around the legendary track for a quick tour, it was Rosberg's turn to chauffeur his employer's new brand ambassador, David Coulthard, for a hot lap in the SLS AMG. This, despite the fact that Rosberg had never driven the circuit before. Good thing DC only found out that particular bit of information after the lap was done.

Anyone know where I can find a video of the lap where MS drives NR around?

Btw, for the record (referring to a few pages back)

All kerbstones in Spa are now yellow/red, not only at Eau Rouge.

Now I think about it, nobody said it was at Eau Rouge only, but still :p

Bastards:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/motorsp ... 550930.stm

From next year, Sky in the UK will broadcast ALL live races, quali and practice. BBC to show half the races live plus 'extensive highlights'.

I hope further phone hacking scandal developments finish off Murdoch's involvement in Sky.

The entire world was able to use the BBC Streaming Application to watch the F1 streams though. Now you can't. Countries such as Australia which relied on BBC commentary also won't be getting that now in half the races. So your world just got a little bit worse too.

After reading Bernie talking about commitment to free to air over and over, hearing how it was better for the teams and sport as their sponsors reach more people etc etc I had faith that it would stay on the BBC. Seems that only lasts until the big money lands on the table. That said, it may have been the beeb backing out, there were a lot of rumours that they were wanting to cut the budget with one of their most popular shows.
Edit: Plus I am forgetting the highlights show on BBC, if I am being positive I would say at least they still have some coverage on all races.
I am sure they will wheel out the fact that half will still be on the BBC knowing that for most fans this is not enough. Guess I will have to get a subscription to Sky Sports, I wonder who they will bring in to host. I guess because BBC still have some races that they won't have their team, or could they?

5Live will still be covering them though, so there is online radio commentary. I am aware this is not quite the same as visual coverage.

I'm not really up for Ant wanking himself off, and Crofty not knowing what car he's talking about tbh. That's no further forward than ITVs coverage was. In fact that might be worse since Brundle isn't in there being awesome.
