Unsafe release? Would that be a grid penalty or a fine?

Hahaha

I am trying to think about the first half of the F1 calendar (off my head) I only can think of two Tilke tracks: Sepang and Valencia (but it is a street circuit)

So the tracks like Melbourne, Monte Carlo, Silverstone and so on. They have different Tarmac surfaces. So the tyres respond differently. But does the Tilke tracks use the same Tarmac?

Plus the teams have worked out how to get around the tyres so it is a bit more predictable now.

Imagine Vettel being thrown out, Alonso making it up to P4 (which seems about the maximum possible for him). That'd make it fun...

I would assume there's only about 2 or 3 companies that produce racing track tarmac, they probably aren't spoilt for choice.

Davidson picked up that an error message came up on Vettel's dash just before he pulled over.

Looked like 'Neut' came up on the left side, Ant thinks the car went into neutral despite the gear display still showing 1st.

Red Bull said that Renault told them to stop the car.

Rocky told Vettel to 'stop the car, stop the car'. It definitely seems something Renault related which would rule out fuel.

So engine issue, would that mean an engine change? What's the rule on engine changes between quali and the race?

You are allowed to change the engine, so long as it's within the 8 engine rule.
