Yes, but he still scored points... Take out the races Perez missed and they'd be level in the championship.

I have seen lots of people here making those claims and hyping Perez more than maybe he deserves. His season was indeed good, but even considering his rookie condition, he was by no means anywhere near as good as Kobayashi, who only have one more year than Perez, as experience.
I have seen the cherry picking of "Perez could/would have" situations many times but you guys are forgeting many situations where Koba also "could/would have" scored more points.

He was doing brilliant in Canada but had poor luck with how the race unfolded and with Nick crashing in his back. IIRC, he was second when the the race restarted, right?

He was also doing a good job in Silverstone untill Schumi crashed into his back and completely ruined their races. Maybe in Spa he could have scored some points with more luck

Even on qualifyings the situation is not as it look for some. Koba had many troubles in qualifyings, just to mention 2: he had car problem in Turkey and was doing a much faster lap in Barcelona's Q2 than Perez when got stuck by a slow after Campsa.

Rumours abound (led by Joe Saward) that Mallya has managed to break Hulkenberg's contract and will retain Di Resta and Sutil.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

Can we not just have 3 car teams? :p

And regarding Van der Garde - I'll only believe it when he turns up with a contract at testing. He's been floating around for so long with nothing promised.

If it's 'major news' then it surely has to be a seat not just a reserve role? And it has to either be Force India or Sauber?

I really want to say more. But my friends asked me not to say more. I just respect his decision.

Who's next on the Red Bull production line?

Assuming one of these two replaces Webber in 2013, they'll need another driver to fill the gap at STR.

Hopefully Caterham still tell Jarno to fuck off and Jaime brings his Repsol money along.
