The pitlane is interesting with the fact you cut out half the track when you want to make a pitstop....

Quite a bit of a fight going on thanks to the blown diffusers:

F1Lite, via Twitter wrote:
The off-throttle ban was 10% for all teams but according to Whitmarsh, the FIA changed the rule to 50% for Renault engines DURING P2.

Whitmarsh says the change has put the Mercedes-powered teams on the back-foot while Tony Fernandes says it is a "shambles".

There's more though! Mercedes are using something called "fired overrun" which is apparently more powerful than the 50% Renault have.

And to conclude, Renault cannot run the fired overrun because their engines will blow up. Basically, every engine is different this weekend.

According to Whitmarsh? Oh that's a reliable source. I'd like to hear it from someone who didn't have to go to an FIA hearing regarding lying to the stewards.

I missed the free practices live, but does anybody know If the track organisation solved the bumps problem? That was one of the greatest complaints from drivers last year in this new Silverstone layout.

from Adam Cooper's twitter, 5 hours ago:
"One team source tells me that today the FIA ruling changed from 10% throttle to 68%, which he says is 'close to full cold blowing'"

I believe this is the 3 strike rule. 3 reprimands and you get a grid drop.

Seems like the bump on the entry to Abbey is still there but its nowhere near as bad as it was last year.
