Watched a few replays of the VET-MAX incident and that was always going to end in tears even if Seb didn't lose front downforce and lock his brakes. Max definitely earlier on the brakes, probably intentionally to ensure a better exit into the last corner. While Seb had already committed to the inside with a huge speed advantage. Unfortunately as you can see from Max's onboard, he was steering to the left the whole time and Seb should've seen the closing gap much earlier than he did in the end. But it was curtains by that point... Would've let this one go as the penalty was pointless in the end and Seb had already been penalized by having to drop to the back for the front wing change. |

Verstappen had to brake earlier because he was not on the racing line. So more dirt, less grip, and impossible to take the corner at the same speed as alway. |
