That was a 10/10 quali session, even if it is only for the sprint.

Teams would have just sat in the garages if this was a normal weekend

Wait, what, qualifying already happened? Was that GP Qual or Sprint Qual? Gosh I hate sprint weekends...

Sprint Qualy. Without it being a sprint weekend we'd not have had that 10/10 session, so yea, hate them as much as you want

Sprint Quali - they re-arranged it slightly for this year, so we have FP1 and SQ on a Friday, then proper quali and the sprint race tomorrow. Teams can also change setup between the two races now.

I have to say, I don't remember anybody having a deleted lap reinstated before. Is there precedent for that?

But again, a 10/10 session that most of the fans were not able to see.

Or just werent aware that it was on. But im happy for you guys.

thankfully I woke up 4h30 am to watch and wasn't disappointed. Hope they could learn something from this

Though Lewis could well be a danger to everyone else tomorrow, holding them up in the twisty stuff until they can get by him on the straight.

Could be good news for Norris though, Lewis holding people up so he can escape?*

*For 1 or 2 laps until Max levels up and passes everyone

Unless it's wet for the sprint, then no-one can predict it....

Looking at it fast, I can't even see where his lap could have been deleted.

The argument was running off on the previous lap before the start finish line gave him an advantage starting his flying lap

Which is a rule for Austria and a few other tracks but never here

Or someone knew all of this and thought it'd make for a good controversy to drum up interest in the run up to the race, whatever

In this case they didn't say before that it was an automatic laptime deletion, despite it originally being deleted right away. Mostly because Norris was wide enough to lose time because of the gravel.

This now seems to apply for Lewis and his nearly pole in Sprint qualy

Whose career are we gonna improve next by speculating they're shit ?
