Judging by practice results, the BMWs have the match of everyone, though the new Merc-Benz is up there as well (though it is an unknown quantity in Aussie production car racing.) The Mitsubishis are two and half a seconds behind the Beemers and the Holdens about the same gap behind the Mitsubishis. They might be more competitive in the race though.

The inaugural running of the Hi-Tec Oils Bathurst 6 Hour is this weekend as apart of the Bathurst Motor Festival. This race is somewhat a throwback to the early days of the 1000 with most of the cars being production based. 50 cars are entered for the 6 Hour enduro including Chaz Mostert who returns to Bathurst for the first time since his V8SC season ending crash last October. Also running during the weekend includes Historic Touring Cars, HQ Holdens, Production Sports, Porsche Club & NSWRRC Regularity. The entire day of racing on Sunday will be live streamed on the Bathurst Motor Festival website (starting at 8AM AEST).
