That was another massive engine failure.

That is one of the more amusing things I've seen at Bathurst, a 16 year old driving a Hyundai Excel leading a field of cars that are 30 seconds a lap quicker at the restart of the race.

The race leading Thomas/Slade Evo has stopped at the cutting.

Safety car, it hasn't got going obviously.

It's blown an engine and is out of the race.

Now the Bowe/Wall car has stopped at the very same spot.

It looks like they're through as well.

The #8 AU Falcon and the #77 BMW 1M have crashed at Forrest's Elbow.

Safety car is out again, this time it's the #31 Renault which has spun twice leading into the Dipper now (though the first time was due to them being spun out by another car)

It got hit by the #7 Evo and sent backwards into the fence.

The M4 is back on the lead lap... and it just got waved around by the safety car so it will be within 30 seconds of the leaders once the race gets going again. Could they actually manage to pull off a win? Of course, they'll have to work their way through the lapped traffic but there's still about two hours to go.
