It's the final day of the championship today at Eastern Creek. Sports Sedans, the Kumho Tyre V8 series (the unofficial third-tier V8 Supercars division) and the Production Car 4 hour are still to come.

Steve Richards's car is out of the race, that's a shame for him.

All of a sudden some fairly heavy rain has started to fall.

Pit lane is completely packed.

One of the Audis literally blocked the Walkinshaw Porsche from leaving its pit bay, to the point where one of the Walkinshaw mechanics attempted to push it out of the way. What a ridiculous situation.

So through all of that nonsense it looks like the majority of the field has lost a lap or more, only four cars are still on the lead lap. That's mostly due to a single car not pitting under the safety car that was called.

Tim Miles & Jaxon Evans win for Audi after a finish ten laps short of the full 500km distance. Ended up being a pretty boring race after the major rain shower, the field got very spread apart. GT racing in Australia outside of the 12 Hour still has a way to go, I think.

Updated the main post for the 2018 season, apologizes for not keeping up on it. The next race on the schedule is this weekend at Winton.

Australian LMP3 Cup has been formed, and it appears it will run under most of the Shannons Nationals schedule in 2019.
