The first annual KL City Grand Prix is this weekend in Kuala Lumpur. The primary race for this weekend is the KL City GT Cup while the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo Asia & Formula Masters will support the weekend. V8 Supercars will have a demonstration run as well this weekend before they become the headline series next year.

I was shocked to see that the USA got any coverage of this, especially with ESPN streaming it.

Not surprised there are some niggling issues, first year plus it's Malaysia, sure it'll get sorted though. Track looks....tricky, narrow in places too.

and the Lambo that hit the wall has blown up from running full revs for several minutes because the car wouldn't move

That was a great race for the size/level of the field. Hopefully they keep getting better grids.
