Wow, the P51 Mustang has problems with its undercarriage wheels. Hopefully it can get down safely...

Can't work out if they're put tarmac down as runoff or for other logistical reasons

Most of the accidents have seen cars make it all the way to the barrier via use of the grass so it's not like the Tarmac is helping much to slow cars down or to keep the character of the circuit in period :/

Anyway, good racing, the stream continues though even if Motors TV have departed, currently looking at some Spitfires before the next race..hoping it's Formula Junior tbh, my favourite of all the historic series.

Indeed a fantastic race! Goodwood is a slipstreaming circuit, but the straights aren't long enough for Monza-kind of passing. Makes the racing tight and tense.

Just one more race to go.

Hehe, the all Jag D-type race. Now that is a one-make series I could get behind.

Ah, the D-types are just a demonstration. Early 50's sports cars are the last race of the event.

Heads up, more historic racing at Goodwood this weekend. It's the 73rd Members Meeting. Some pretty cool races coming up, incl. 70's Group 1 touring cars.

So much for the three car showdown, kinda got differing ideas on what they were supposed to do

Group 1 has to be the best touring car formula ever. Just look at that grid. Super touring, with all due respect, but I think the FIA has gone blind at 2.0 engines and sprint races, a more open formula is needed to get international touring car racing more exciting again.

"There's a smell of oil around the track" - well, it's a field of 70's British cars, what'd ya reckon?
