They're pretty lucky to get the race late on a Friday. The NIMBY's tried blocking the reopening altogether.

In a completely surprising move, Goodwood have revealed they're more about people with money being able to see their activities instead of us riff raff :whistling:

To see Goodwood's streams this year, you have to be a Fellow of Goodwood (about 60 quid as far as I could see on their website)

The days of their free live YT streaming are over, it seems.

Disliked and unsubscribed.
Used to really enjoy their events but if they don't want us, fuck 'em

Calls for a massive thumbs down campaign. Just greedy really.

That and moving it to a date so BTCC drivers can't compete...

In the description of that video:

"To experience Members’ Meeting throughout the weekend from home you can listen to Goodwood Radio, read the live blog and view highlight clips and a selection of live races online and on ITV4. To watch the full, uninterrupted, two-day experience of the 77th Members’ Meeting live stream, you can join the growing GRRC community ..."

I wonder if it will be the same for FoS & Revival. The Members Meeting has always been the smallest in terms of event profile.

that really sucks. does anyone know if they'll take down previous years' videos? I couldn't find any live stream of the 76th race meeting but based on this link, it looks like it used to be online but isn't anymore?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YboNXPkXsGA

the ones for the 75th and prior are still up

Nah, fuck 'em

there's too much on today anyway.

If they'd given us the whole day, it'd be appointment viewing, but I guess it's the principle of it all now

Too good to not watch watch at least the replays.

I'm not going to pay for this and I hope by FoS or Revival this experiment is dropped but on the other hand this outrage is a bit two-faced. This is no different to any other pay-per-view sport/entertainment.

Fortunately looks like FOS this week has the usual free all day stream. Starts Thursday 9am local.

Of the three events Goodwood puts on, I care about the hillclimb the least I'm afraid

But at least with no "Big" meetings on this weekend, we might get a few more stars in classic cars than usual...

Yeah, in terms of actual racing... But otherwise FOS Is definitely the biggest event.

The top 10 shootout on Sunday is always amazing though.

Honestly I now care about FOS more than MM. That's what access to coverage or lack thereof will do.

I doubt they'll change back for next years MM.

Probably the paywall was supposed to be only for MM (whether it was a success or not).

We'll see what happens with Revival later this year.

MM might be different, as the name suggest, it is for members.... Can a regular non-member even go there as a spectator?

Of course, first crash happens while I'm away from the computer...
