the car was well off line and the driver was out of the car - double yellows was sufficient tbh

Got tickets for the Motegi finale. We'll be in the general admission area around the hairpin, esses, backstraight, and also a special area behind the runoff at turn 5.

There was a rumor about Button doing IMSA. Now that could be "also IMSA" since SGT calendar is pretty compact.

This would be awesome, but I can't work out where he could slot in in IMSA, seeing as a move to Nissan for Super GT makes more sense. Do Nissan have some kind of partnership with Ford in the USA, or did I imagine that?

You mean Honda, not Nissan...

Brown told Sportscar365 in August that he was in discussions with the 2009 F1 World Champion about a possible one-off drive in the Rolex 24, prior to him being linked to the Penske Acura DPi program, which didn’t materialize.

“Jenson won’t be driving for us,” Brown said. “I don’t know what he’s going to be doing. I thought he was going to be in the Penske car. Not sure what happened there.”

No, I definitely meant Nissan - I'd read that McLaren's split with Honda make it 'awkward' for him to remain an ambassador for the team and drive for their former engine partner. I'm not saying I was right ;)

In that case then: Nissan is partnered with ESM in IMSA/DPi.

DTM cars at the SuperGT finale, apparently the DTM guys are making themselves look like quite pompus/arrogant, they flew in offices which are standing over everything else and are walking around like they are the bees knees

The #23 dominated all weekend and you could really see the speed on track.

I liked this car though...the GT300 8th place finisher:
