I will be at the Motegi finale in November. I am really looking forward to it...

The last race I went to was CCWS at Portland 2007 and last sports car race was ALMS at Sears Point in 2003. Been way too long.

One of my mates has been to a couple of the rounds this year already, said that it's absolutely nuts how hard core the fans are into it, there was apparently already huge queues to get into the track at 7am on one of the Friday mornings just to watch practice, the drivers are treated literally like superstars

Wow. That's good to know.

I'll try to get a media/photo pass for more up-close access to the racing if they have that but looking at the Autopolis race, it seems like ordinary fans can go right up to the fence/guardrails bordering the racing area.

Be sure to walk the oval track if you can. DANICA WON THERE!!

Another brilliant Super GT race, at least in GT500. Consistently the most competitive and interesting racing there is anywhere in the world.

I still don't get why this is the last 1000km.
