Think you'll find that was all fuel, the tank having ruptured after the rear impact.

prob part of the exhaust system in the debris, anything hot enough.

Going to be pretty close, I wouldn't be shocked if Speed just delayed the start a few minutes to let Bathurst finished... They have a fair bit more invested in the Bathurst broadcast, certainly.
