Was a mega finish! switched over the channel at the end to find the cars taking their grid slots in the F1, perfect timing :p

I've watched the first 40 laps or so. Rest can wait for another weekend.

I was listening to race control radio at the time of the crash. The chief fire marshal wanted to thank the two guys personally for what they did, and were interviewed on ch7 after the race.

I hope the cameraman was ok. When the fire started he panned back to the 17 car and then climbed down from the camera platform to get away. You can see him when they cut to the 2nd shot from further away. I think he may have been sprayed with fuel.

Just a reminder that all V8SC caps will be found on darcyf1.com (unless marcel uploads MotorsTV coverage here). The whole race will be able to download very soon if Darcy is anything to go by. All you have to do is sign-up to his website, I seriously recommend donating as well, Marcel gets thanked unbelievably for his work, but it's only apparent because of Darcy's server, which is helped along by donations.

Yes sir. I have watched all the races in their entirety on that server this year instead of waiting two weeks for the condensed 2 hour Speed broadcast.

That guy has a great site. I only wished he were able to upload all the BTCC and DTM races in whole as well.

There's a few bits and pieces on YouTube of it, not the ending though

From watching them, their coverage is interesting and different, but give me the regular Australian commentators any day.

I think they should have had Diffey do the main commentary. He'd know more what he's talking about then Waltrip or Joy, not to say they didn't do a good job for a 1st broadcast.

Actual replay's about 4 pages back since SPEED stupidly went to commercial without showing any replays.

Interesting to hear that, wonder what particular channel that was. If it's the same one the marshals use, their communications are a lot less efficient/useful than ours here in the US. :o

Yep, it's the one's the marshals use. The main race control radio.

The guy calling for the safety car is Tim Schenken, the race director.

Yeah, I recognize the voice from the other races this year.

Interesting listening, will have to study their procedures a bit... Certainly not like anything I've heard marshaling here.
