Um, wow. That's not ideal. Imagine if that was Porsche Supercup during an F1 weekend or something...

Or a Hypercar on Sunday.

I am interested in finding out how that setup qualifies as Grade I.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

The driver replied to that tweet and confirmed it was a brake failure.

Needs a stronger catch fence... Or maybe gravel right up to the edge of the track instead of all that asphalt out there that doesn't do shit when you have no brakes.

Jesus Christ. How is that in the year 2023 we can still have a car end up in the fucking grandstands at a major racetrack?

Except those who filmed it, obviously. They can thank heavens they didn't decide to stay the spot where the car ended.

Seriously, Portimao was in big trouble already after MotoGP. Now this. They will be Grade 4 track unless something is done.

I feel most track have gravel and tarmac in wrong order. It should be gravel/grass first, then tarmac right up to the wall. For example in Silverstone last year, if there had been gravel first, Zhou would have rolled a couple of times and probably wouldn't have even reached the edge of the circuit. Rolling early on is a good way to reduce speed quickly.
