GT World Challenge seasons starts this weekend in Imola.
There were like 10 FCY periods during the FP, because drivers kept knocking off the bollard at Variante Alta. Priceless  They really must find another solution.

Rossi's first GTWC race! Lined up with Vervisch and Nico Müller, so they are backing him up hard.

There's a penalty for hitting it now. Seems they're giving it the wide berth and have had no FCY to put it back so far

With that big grid, percentage of drivers not paying attention is kinda big to be honest :D

Race ends under FCY.

Race Director should have a few words with drivers after that race...

Maybe they should just use Safety Car periods instead of trying to stick with this FCY that only half the field know about

If it was the only incident I'd say yeah, drivers weren't aware, but the amount of things that happened at once, well it makes me think something went wrong with the system somehow and some drivers were slowing down and others were unaware...maybe only some marshal points picked up the signal/radio and others didnt?

Because that has never happened under SC. It's not the system, it's drivers not paying attention.

That's basically what happens when you structure an entire discipline of motorsport around useless amateurs. SRO have a lot to answer for.

Seems to have been a big crash in the GT2 race, red flag. But no replay.

Edit: Brabham binned it in Tamburello.

GT World Series has always been dismal at showing replays. If they feel like it, they show a 3 sec replay maybe 10 minutes later. Plus it always takes them minutes to even show the cause for Yellows or FCY, when ideally TV director should cut immediately to the camera where the accident is still happening.

One of the main reason I don't bother to follow the series. Get better TV director, then I might consider.
