You can see why this race doesn't have the same buzz about it as Le Mans or any other blue riband race...

Such horrible TV directing, some massive race changing incidents completely missed by cameras, its as if the director decided to let the work experience boy handle the saturday parts of the race and maybe he'll come for the last hour and take all the credit.

Prob the worst directed endurance race I've ever seen...

Direction has been terrible.

SC for what we can only imagine was a collision between a Porsche and a Ferrari

In fairness it's not exactly a major worldwide event with international promotion and television production... Up until FIA GT took over it was a national event, and even now the Blancpain Series is more like a club series than a major international championship that carries significant weight.

Woot, we had the obligatory Raidillion wreck. The Italians of Autorlando Porsche (leading in champ standings) sprayed debris all over the track, were running 8th, shame.

http://blancpain-endurance-series.com/racefacts2.php => great live updates w pics btw

Holy shit lmao, Albert von Thurn & Taxis, German prince and one of the driver of the Lambo who wreck on its side at pit entrance, has been arrested in the middle of the night. From what I could gather he was pretty drunk

Meanwhile, the #2Ferrari which was running third (with Bartels, Bertolini etc) has been disqualified because they forgot to do a drive through. Fail

Only 5 pages for this race. Means the coverage was bad because there was plenty of action.

Weather was ok yesterday. No sun, some drizzle, but luckily not a lot of cold wind. Was doable with a coat :)

did TV cameras miss Kirkaldy's crash? I saw the whole thing happening infront of me and was able to catch the end of the crash on film, shouldnt have turned off my camera 10 seconds earlier.... I also saw the McLaren burning down right infront of me.

Furthermore I was able to get upclose to Ekström and Scheider on the grid before the drivers presentation 8)

Had a great weekend overall, despite the lack of sleep.

Got back from Spa this afternoon. Had a great time once again, the first 8 hours of the 24 were just incredible. Saw quite some accidents, will post them soon :)
