Hi everyone,

A lot of controversy has been generated recently regarding the American Le Mans' Series plan to move to internet streaming. They are insistent that it is the way forward both technologically speaking and in terms of capturing fans. I have chosen to do a research report on this very topic, and I am doing some basic research to determine what is important to the "hardcore fan." I am asking you all to complete a brief survey - 12 questions, no more than 3 minutes or so - to aid in my research and subsequent report.

Click Here to take the survey!

I appreciate your time, please complete this as soon as possible. I'm pretty interested in seeing what people think, so please take a look and offer your thoughts! :)

May I ask for which instance you are doing this? Is it for your studies or?
(just interested)

Cheers everyone! 23 Responses is an awfully good start. :)

Stijn, it's for a technical report writing course. We had to come up with some topic for a research project, and I figured a feasibility study on the new ALMS TV package was a good, original way to go. :)

Good for gaining some general fan input as well. Once the project and everything is complete, I'll post back here with the results of this survery - some of the responses are pretty interesting!

I find it interesting that as one series moves towards internet broadcasting (ALMS) another is pulling theirs completely (IRL)

Would be great to look back at these key decisions in 5/10 years or so and see who were the true forward thinkers and who were cutting their nose off to spite their faces, etc.

Cool! Sort of comparable to what I have to do in my communication studies, although that would probably be more about how the introduction and rise of streaming media on the internet would affect tv-viewing, or something like that :p

If you get good response and interesting results, you can always try and forward it to the organisation..you never know they might be interested.

It has been suggested that Speed dropped ALMS, not the other way around... if it's true, it's a move they had to do.
