Decent enough race so far. Not watched this series before, how are things balanced? Mercs seem more powerful than everything else, but Audi 4wd seems unbeatable through the corners.

Balance of performance seems quite tricky, as they're continuously changing regulations. Yes, basically Mercedes are unbeatable at tracks such as Monza and Audi at the more twisty circuits. I guess they're desperately trying to make other models competitive to have larger grids, but I think that's a hard task with such a variety of machinery.

Only two cars missing. Don't think they usually have that many cars anyway.

The track is really wet at Imola today.

The Superstar Series Race 1 will be live on MotorsTV in 30 min. Everyone is aquaplanning in the Ferrari challenge race now... Looks like there was a big crash but it wasn't caught by the cameras.

Yeah, very treacherous conditions today:

And the GT Sprint race before that wasn't exactly dry either:

Is it just me or does the picture look like they've stretched 4:3 mode?

Yeah, they have. For those watching on a stream, use this link (I've fixed the aspect ratio):

SC start.

The commentator is an idiot. First he says 'safety is parallel' (sic!), then doesn't notice the obvious when the SC doesn't get withdrawn. Anyone knows his name?

What ever happened to Johan Kristoffersson? This time last year we couldn't stop talking about him. But since a one-off appearance at the start of the year he's disappeared.

Cheeveer?

Ridiculous management is what happened. He's done Swedish rallycross as well Swedish Carrera Cup, and GT Sprint Italia (support series to Superstars) this year. Dominated Carrera Cup, done very well in rallycross and helped Thomas Schöffler win GT Sprint. It's ridiculously low ambitions really. He should be in DTM or in a good sports car seat at least.
