The season started in Bahrain but the topic starts only now as the European phase begins. Barcelona, Monaco, Valencia, Silverstone, Hockenheim, Hungaroring, Spa, Monza...no surprises with the rounds.

Teams and drivers

Konrad Motorsport
1 Nick Tandy
2 Siso Cunill
21 Patrick Huisman

Lechner Racing
3 Alessandro Zampedri
4 Stefan Rosina

Schnabl Engineering Parker Racing
5 Niall Breen
6 Tim Bridgman
24 Thomas Messer

SANITEC / GILTRAP Racing
7 William Langhorne
8 Matt Halliday
22 Christian Engelhart

VERVA Racing
9 Robert Lukas
10 Kuba Giermaziak

Bleekemolen Harders Plaza
11 Sebastiaan Bleekemolen
12 Robert van den Berg
23 Jaap van Lagen

VELTINS MRS Racing
14 Jan Seyffart

Al Faisal Lechner Racing
16 Rene Rast
17 Jeroen Bleekemolen

Team Abu Dhabi by tolimit
18 Sascha Maassen
19 Sean Edwards
20 Khaled Al Qubaisi

Rast won both Bahrain races from pole so he has a good lead, but the scoring system favours consistency. Rast should know that well. Last year six victories against five of Bleekemolen but the latter one won the title by 47 points - Rast finished 11th once and retired twice. Bleekemolen was on the podium in every race.

Rast 44
Rosina 32
J.Bleekemolen 30
Tandy 30
Seyffarth 21
Maassen 16
Zampedri 16
...

Edwards penalized 25 seconds, so he drops down to 12th. Siedler wins followed by three Dutchmen: Huisman, J.Bleekemolen and van Lagen. Rast had some problems even before to start so he failed to score.

Standings after round 3:
J.Bleekemolen 48
Rast 44
Tandy 42
Rosina 40
Siedler 32
Seyffarth 31

That was a harsh penalty. Edwards had already committed to the move down the inside and Bleekemolen moved to cover very late. Had Bleekemolen allowed Edwards the room then Edwards would have run wide, Bleekemolen gets the place back and wins. Edwards has been penalised unfairly for Bleekemolen's desperate stupidity.

100 drive throughs for the drivers at the start, if consistency is anything....

Do the cars now turn on their headlights when they're bumped into first gear?

Tyre bundles on chicane will last at most 3 laps!

lol crossing the yellow line at the pit exit... Stupid race control. Everyone was doing that during GP2 qual & race...

And I'm surprised that nobody got a penalty for crossing the yellow line at the pit entry. The pit entry & exit are too tight.

Well there are driver who manage to exit the pits without crossing the line. So the narrowness is not really an excuse.

No penalty during GP2 and see:
Image

Then let's apply the penalty for the pit entry too...
