Mercedes might need to rethink their flashy design, because with a flip like that it's not really handy to have wing doors

There is a button for the marshals to "blast" the doors. But you are right, its a bit "tricky"....

I doubt every marshall knows about that especially at the VLN with the hundrets of corner workers involved and the Belgians never seem to be on top of their marshalling as well

Belgians? Actually the Race was in Germany ;) But I think the button is hard to reach when the car is upside down in the gravel trap... Hes on the front left, below the windscreen.
