Just a tiny remark, but isn't this Round 09 ?

the experts at V8Supercars Australia decided to disregard rounds (and 49 years of round winners history) at the start of this year....

Each race is an individual event this year.... so individual that meetings with two individual events are paired up when it comes to tyre allocations, event formats and so on.... quite a muddle they made for themselves....

But back to the 9th running of the Phillip Island 500km

I'm guessing Fuelke raised the question as I had Event 10 as part of the opening post, rather than Event 9.

That was the thing I was referring to indeed.

Although confused in the beginning of the season I understand they are indeed 2 seperate races at each event, and not "Rounds" to be won individualy.

Race 1 - 14 lap qualifying race for driver A
Race 2 - 14 lap qualifying race for driver B

points are scored on the finishing position of the car and added together and then the grid for the 500 is formed.

Any plans for a stream of this one tonight? I dont know if the old V8SC/Bigpond streams still work, they didn't seem to be for any of the rounds after the Clipsal. Anything even on JustinTV would be swell.

Just watching weekend sunrise, and it has rained at the circuit earlier this morning and may rain again.
