That GRM livery is astonishingly poor. Cheap, nasty and down right boring.

Here's a shot of the livery. It has floored me, totally floored me.

It's a one-off livery to promote Valvoline's spin-off brand of coolant - Zerex.

WTF? Am I seeing things or is an image of Rex Hunt (I think) flashing every few seconds?

I quite like that GRM livery. No coverage here of the race though which sucks, will be waiting monday for torrents I guess.

Well, it's only showers, not rain or storms. Should mean it won't be too bad out there.

More info on the 'Battle Of Bathurst' program that scotty mentioned.

Quote:
The special 'Battle of Bathurst' will be hosted by Seven regulars (and current/former races) Mark Skaife and Mark Larkham, with four previous race winners - Alan Moffat, Larry Perkins, Jim Richards and Dick Johnson - and their racing sons expected to be on hand to reminisce and chew the fat over past races and the day's pre-race qualifying action.

Kudos to Seven for actually doing some extra Bathurst programming.

Also, Rick and Todd Kelly will have a total of 6 onboard camera's on their car. Including a specially made one to fit on the rear wing end-fence.

Sounds good, the Grice/Percy HRT Commodore had a similiarly-placed camera on their wing end-plate in 1992, and it provided some fantastic shots.

Seven used to get camera's in good places, Colin Bonds Caltex Sierra got around with a camera on the side skirt, which gave a perspective of how close they got to the walls, and of the front tyre doing some work

The race will last 7 hours and I wonder much of that will be from ad breaks taken by 7 every 5 laps or something.

That was a beauty, they had 'helmet cam' on the pit guys as well around the same time...... funniest bit was in about 1999 when Channel 10 did the same thing but called it a "brand new camera position"

Sadly that's an all too realistic prospect, but that's what commercial television is about. Russell Ingall's opinion of wiper-blades, dislike for car seat covers and homoerotic KFC ads need to pay the bills.

I'm planning to jot down Matthew White-isms and see how many cliches he can bung up throughout the telecast.

And Helmet Cam?? I reckon that would be the best Bathurst onboard camera.

Murphy's track record lap will go this year.
