As some of you on the forum may know, the 24 Hours of Zolder are coming near :)

Last year we didn't have many competitors due to the GT3 format, but this year it's an open 24 Hour race again - allowing the Belgian GT, Belgian Touring Car Series (BTCS) and Dunlop SportMaxx Endurance Cup competitors.

Really some classic entries this year, with Albert Vanierschot making a comeback with his good old Porsche 964 and ... 2 Viper GTS-R's! The ex-GLPK Viper, now run by AD Sport with a different engine and different exhaust, is one of the favourites. Pertti Kuismanen is another one, with the ex-Oreca Viper GTS-R. He will get the support of Karl Hasenbichler (engineer of Audi Motorsport and pretty quick as well), Duncan Huisman and Erik Behrens (a swedish guy). Willie Moore wil make his comeback to the 24 hours of Zolder aswell with the BMW GTR.

But also exotic... there's also a new astonishing quick Megane Silhouette 2009 in endurance config, driven by Anthony Kumpen, Maxime Soulet, Ludovic Sougnez and Marc Goossens.

I'll try to keep you guys updated with a entry-list soon

You can add 24h Spa-Francorchamps winner Kurt Mollekens

Francorchamps Motors Ferrari F430 GT3
Coens/Bouvy/Kelders/Mollekens

Prospeed Competition Porsche 911 GT3 RS
Penders/Lamot/Loix/Machiels

KS Motorsport - BMW E90 Silhouette (BTCS and LOUD)

McDonalds Racing - Porsche 996 GT3 RS (for the sound)

MPM Racing - Porsche 996 GT3 RS

AD Sport - Porsche 996 biturbo

Any information whether the Division 4 guest class has to obey that stupid lap time limit? At least that 1:35min was more or less competitive due to the GT3 having to use sprint racing parts, but I find it a joke. I hope Belcar get's well soon with the split from SRO and the teams bringing back their real cars. Can't wait for the Vipers, Silhouettes and non-GT3 class Porsches

Shame that the 1000km Nurburgring is on the same date, so I'll arrive around 6pm (leaving the Ring after CER is finished) and stay for a couple of hours, before getting back to the Ring in the morning

btw, HOW old is Vanierschot???

FIA-GT BMS Scuderia Italia driver Kenneth Heyer, son of legendary Hans, gets a ride in the AD Sport Viper GTS-R GT1
Kenneth is a really funny bloke and a damn fast driver
Can't wait to see him battle with Duncan Huisman in the Kuismanen Competition GTS-R GT1

Really can't tell who will win, but my bet is Goossens/Kumpen/Soulet/Sougnez

They will either win the race, or crash the car very badly while chasing for the lead...

First Motorsport Porsche has a nice line up, so has the KRK Viper, will be between those two for the Belgian GT/GT3 "win"

But off course, never underestimate good old Pertti... Olli (teamchef of Kuismanen competition) said that Kuismanen is coming to Zolder with the GTS-R with only one objective... overall win!

Two pics from today's training...

Only 29 participants at the moment, as much as 2 years ago (the first year after GT1, GT2, Silhouettes and Touring cars were abolished...) and only 2 more as last year..

Good thing there's a diversity of cars, but I had hoped for much more participants (like the rumour of 60+ which is still going)

edit: 28 now... :8:

edit 2: 27 :x
