He is, he deserved to be in one of the v8 categories for sure but that's racing.

The thing is of course there is no shortage of capable drivers wanting to race in the GT Championship who would give Baird a run for his money....

However the organisers are only allowing 3 'seeded' drivers (ie... professional or seasoned drivers) to compete in the series, the three being Baird, David Wall and Jim Richards. Hence why they cherry-picked the stranded Carerra Cup teams allowed to compete, leaving the likes of Andy McElrea's team (with Warren Luff and Nathan Caratti driving) with nowhere to go....

The commentating was definitely the most entertaing thing over the weekend, the racing itself was alright, but not overly spectacular
