Wow....the WTCC sure can suck the fun out of a wet race eh?

I honestly have no idea why there are three manufacturers in this series, it's pretty much a one make formula as far as the win is concerned!

Maybe if the FIA change the rules back to something sensible we'll see some competittion, but at the moment I can see SEATS winning 100% of race 1's and about 50% of the reverse grid racesz too....

That was really a sad demonstration of the WTCC rules.... :( , race itself wasn't that bad.

Watched the 'races' on Eurosport earlier. Absolutely dreadful.

SEAT were implementing team orders the moment the green light came on at the first race of the season. How fucking pathetic is that?

+1

Their rule is if they're running 1-2-3-4 the drivers are not allowed to race until half-distance and even then only if they're well clear of other cars. SEAT have no idea what motorsport is, they run solely as a promotional exercise.

SEAT have never had any idea what motorsport is, just look at how they built a bad car and then whinged until the rules disadvantaged their rivals who knew how to build a car.

We've got another 2 rounds / 4 races until the weight gets changed around again, and I doubt that will make much of a difference. Puebla will mirror last year and yesterday, with Seat locking out the entire first 4 or 5 top spots. I'm glad BMW haven't gone turbo diesel to try and match / beat the Seats, preferrin to build and compete with a decent car rather than cheat their way to championship success.

First race was immensely dull. Second race was slightly better but still disappointing... hoping for more competitive racing next time out. =/

Puebla was ok last year, Seat's were faster down the straights, BMW's were catching them through the corners, made for an interesting race. Shame the Seats were able to hold on for the wins, but will hopefully be similar this year.

Didn't D'Aste crash a BMW at Curitiba last year?

Reminds me of when Barrichello did a similar thing during 2002 US GP practice:
