ITT people are outraged about DTM team orders and driving standards?

Meh, been through all this so many times before, I'm used to it. It is part of the game when the manufacturer stakes are so high. Nothing surprising, and I don't even think KvL's moves were that bad. Race 1 was an honest fight, race 2 was overly aggressive but not that scandalous. Seen worse, in DTM and elsewhere.

DTM has always been like this, even in the glory years. See BMW fixing everything Ravaglia's way in 1989 (even at the season opener!); Audi manipulating the rules in 1990-1991, even having Hubert Haupt wrecking one of the Mercs at Singen; Merc not letting their drivers fight for it in 1992 even though they were miles ahead in the standings.

In a way this is good for DTM. It tells them that for the manufacturers it is still a big deal, not just an afterthought in an oversaturated GT3 market.

Just because you're jaded, doesn't invalidate the way others feel.

Anyway, most of us have moved on. Will probably go back to ignoring DTM again.

DTM has announced a ban on team orders in 2022. Too little too late. The damage was done and I don't think anyone cares at this point. This series is going nowhere.

Ban shared team sponsors/liveries, teams wouldn't dare piss off a major sponsor by telling its car to give up positions for another. This has worked pretty well as a natural deterrent against team orders in NASCAR.

Is it me or is the quality of the broadcast much worse than say 10 years ago? I don't remember seeing 1 on-board shot all race so far except from the safety car. Dtm used to have some cool on-board on the side of the car behind the wheels, in the cockpit. Now, nothing.

Also many high, and far away camera angles. Particularly the T1 angle. Looks somewhat budget restricted overall even compared to ADAC GT Masters.
