That was a monster defensive job holding off Feller for like 30 laps.

It's anyone's guess what happens at Sachsenring but I presume Mercedes and Porsche should have an edge over Lamborghini there.

Luca Stolz won the first Sachsenring race ahead of Thomas Preining who takes back the points lead. Mirko Bortolotti would have finished 4th but got a penalty lap for spinning the wheels on the jacks and dropped to 9th.

Those who started on slicks are losing a ton of time already. With the fixed pitstop window they are hosed.

Slicks finally faster after 17 mins but the leaders will pit as soon as the window opens so they won't lose enough to negate the early advantage.

Schmid punts Vermeulen off in Turn 9. Should be SC.

I don't watch DTM often either, is the TV direction always this terrible? Completely missed the battle for the net lead

Yeah, they kind focus on pistops most of the time but it rarely happens the net lead changes like that.

Stolz and Feller also gained since everyone is on slicks so those who pitted early profited.
